audition for a position of violin player (tutti) in the violin section,
to be held on Thursday, 11 June 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
Audition will be held at University Auditorium (Aula Uniwersytecka), 1, Wieniawskiego st. in Poznań, Poland
Audition programme:
1. W.A. Mozart: violin concerto of choice – mvt. 1 and cadence
2. J.S. Bach: sonata or partita for solo violin (BWV 1001-1006) – one mvt. of choice
3. Orchestral parts (fragments):
- Ludwig van Beethoven: Symphony No. 9, mvt. 3
- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Symphony No. 39 in E-flat major KV 543 (1st and 2nd violin parts)
- Robert Schumann: Symphony No. 2 in C major, Op. 61, mvt.2 Scherzo
- Johannes Brahms: Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op. 98 mvt.3
- Richard Strauss: Don Juan, Op. 20

Applications containing a brief covering letter and CV with e-mail and telephone no., the programme (Bach, Mozart concerto), as well as information whether applicant arrives with own accompanist, to be submitted in digital version at sekretariat@filharmoniapoznanska.pl by Monday, 1st June 2026. Applications should be marked in e-mail title line: "Przesłuchanie do grupy skrzypiec –2026" (Audition for violin section – June 2026).
If necessary, Poznań Philharmonic provides accompanying pianist for the audition (unfortunately, no previous rehearsal is possible).
Poznań Philharmonic reserves the right to invite selected candidates to the audition. Invitation confirmations shall be made and detailed schedule of auditions shall be announced by the Philharmonic by phone and e-mail by Wednesday, 3 June 2026.
Decisions of the judging body headed by Music Director of Poznań Philharmonic related to the course of audition and selection of candidates are final.
Base gross salary in the post is 6150 Polish zlotys. Remaining components of remuneration are awarded in accordance with Remuneration Rules of Poznań Philharmonic.
Information on personal data processing:
- Personal data is controlled by Poznań Philharmonic.
- Personal data contained in application documents shall be processed for the purpose of executing auditions (recruitment process) for the position of "tutti orchestra musician (violin)".
- Personal data contained in the application submitted shall be kept for a period necessary to accomplish the goal for which it has been collected, i.e. until completion of the recruitment process.
- Although providing personal data is voluntary, it is a prerequisite for taking part in the recruitment process.

- 1st mov. with cadenza from Concerto in D major , op. 1 by Carl Philip Stamitz, or from Viola Concerto in D major by Anton Hoffmeister
